Sejarah Asal Mula Cianjur

Tiga abad silam merupakan saat bersejarah bagi Cianjur. Karena berdasarkan sumber – sumber tertulis , sejak tahun 1614 daerah Gunung Gede dan Gunung Pangrango ada di bawah Kesultanan Mataram. Tersebutlah sekitar tanggal 12 Juli 1677, Raden Wiratanu putra R.A. Wangsa Goparana Dalem Sagara Herang mengemban tugas untuk mempertahankan daerah Cimapag dari kekuasaan kolonial Belanda yang mulai menanamkan kekuasaan di tanah nusantara. Upaya Wiratanu untuk mempertahankan daerah ini juga erat kaitannya dengan desakan Belanda / VOC saat itu yang ingin mencoba menjalin kerjasama dengan Sultan Mataram Amangkurat I.
Namun sikap patriotik Amangkurat I yang tidak mau bekerjasama dengan Belanda / VOC mengakibatkan ia harus rela meninggalkan keraton tanggal 12 Juli 1677. Kejadian ini memberi arti bahwa setelah itu Mataram terlepas dari wilayah kekuasaannya.
Pada pertengahan abad ke 17 ada perpindahan rakyat dari Sagara Herang yang mencari tempat baru ke pinggiran sungai untuk bertani dan bermukim. Babakan atau kampoung mereka dinamakan menurut nama sungai dimana pemukiman itu berada. Seiring dengan itu Raden Djajasasana putra Aria Wangsa Goparana dari Talaga keturunan Sunan Talaga, terpaksa meninggalkan Talaga karena masuk Islam, sedangkan para Sunan Talaga waktu itu masih kuat memeluk Hindu.
Sebagaimana daerah beriklim tropis, maka di wilayah Cianjur utara tumbuh subur tanaman sayuran, teh dan tanaman hias. Di wilayah Cianjur Tengah tumbuh dengan baik tanaman padi, kelapa dan buah-buahan. Sedangkan di wilayah Cianjur Selatan tumbuh tanaman palawija, perkebunan teh, karet, aren, cokelat, kelapa serta tanaman buah-buahan. Potensi lain di wilayah Cianjur Selatan antara lain obyek wisata pantai yang masih alami dan menantang investasi.
Aria Wangsa Goparana kemudian mendirikan Nagari Sagara Herang dan menyebarkan Agama Islam ke daerah sekitarnya. Sementara itu Cikundul yang sebelumnya hanyalah merupakan sub nagari menjadi Ibu Nagari tempat pemukiman rakyat Djajasasana. Beberapa tahun sebelum tahun 1680 sub nagari tempat Raden Djajasasana disebut Cianjur (Tsitsanjoer-Tjiandjoer).

Kesenian Ngarak Posong Sanggar HIBAR Cianjur

Ngarak Posong di Kabupaten Cianjur merupakan kesenian yang terus dilesarikan dan dikembangkan. Kesenian Ngarak Posong belum lama ini ditampilkan pada Hari Ulang Tahun Karang Taruna ke 52 tahun tingkat Kecamatan Cibeber di lapangan olah raga Cibeber. Seperti apa kesenian ini.

Kesenian Ngarak Posong dilestarikan dan dikembangkan warga Kampung Balengbang Desa Sukaraharja Kecamatan Cibeber Kabupaten Cianjur. Sebelum dikemangkan kesenian Ngarak Posong, awalnya di kampung tersebut merupakan tempat budidaya belut. Sebagian warga sekitar bermata pencaharian dari budidaya belut.
Hasil budidaya belut diolah menjadi makanan, dari mulai belut goreng manis, asin, dan krispi belut. Untuk pemasarannya sudah merambah ke berbagai daerah d Jawa Barat dan Nasional. Bahkan sudah mengekspor ke Singapura. Selanjutnya, warga yang merasakan kesejahteraan dari budi daya belut, lalu berpikir untuk melestarikan Ngarak Posong. Posong sendiri merupakan alat untuk menangkap belut yang terbuat dari kayu.
“Waktu itu, kami berpikir mencari penghasilan untuk keluarga dari budidaya belut, sementara belut sendiri khas orang sunda. Karena itu, warga disini membuat kesenian Ngarak Posong,” kata penggagas sekaligus Ketua Sanggar Hibar (Hiburan Barudak), Ngarak Posong, Kampung Balengbang Desa Sukaraharja Kecamatan Cibeber, Cianjur, E Supardi, kemarin.
Menurutnya, setelah selesai dideklarasikan dua tahun lalu, lalu dirinya merekrut warga sekitar untuk dilatih menampilkan seni Ngarak Posong. Pormasi Ngarak Posong sendiri terdiri dari laki-laki dan perempuan. Dalam tradisi ini menampilkan posong ukuran besar dan belut ukuran besar juga. Penampilan ngarak posong ini diiringi musik kesenian, khas orang sunda. “Ini yang dilestarikan kami. Artinya posong dan kesenian musik, seperti kecapi, gong, suling, merupakan kesenian orang sunda yang kami terus lestarikan,” tuturnya.
Dia menjelaskan, Ngarak Posong memiliki filosopi yang bermakna, dan menjadikan manusia khususnya warga muslim berpikir untuk menjadi orang benar. “Filosopi Ngarak Posong ini mengarah kepada peningkatan keimanan kepada Yang Maha Kuasa,” tuturnya. (**)
